is an aesthetic procedure similar to tattooing, designed to enhance your appearance without make-up. This process is used for eyebrows, eyeliner (above & below), eyelashes, lip liner, scar camouflage or imitating fading or loss of hair.

Quick definitions:

Eyeliner
Defines the eye, (available in a palette of colors) creates either a soft or bold dramatic effect. Upper eyeliner will cover the entire lash (above only) additional liner on the bottom is referred to as bottom eyeliner. You may want one or traditionally, both.

Lash Enhancement
This will make small eyes look bigger and will emphasize your eye color. It will give the illusion of thicker row of lash hair.

Eyebrows
For a perfectly shaped brow it is now possible to create individual hair strokes to fill in sparse areas and to add shape to reflect a fuller brow.

Lip Liner
Permanent color can make lips look fuller and correct or accentuate the shape with definition. The color can match the natural lip shade or you can choose a shade to create a 24/7 beautiful look.

Scar Camouflage & Areola Tattooing
With the aid of sensitive skin area tattooing scars and areola tattooing is a precious gift for those who need an area re-worked artistically. We provide this service with pride.

Corrective Work
Unfortunately, if bad permanent makeup has been applied by another provider, this can be easily corrected. It may take several sessions, and pricing will vary, but excellent results are obtainable.

BIOMEDIC MICROPEEL® PLUS - a procedure that stimulates cellular turnover through the application of salicylic acid in a micro-sponge technology. This peel is excellent in the treatment of teenage and adult acne.

A skin peel for the treatment of dull, congested, thick or blemished skin. Excellent for hyperpigmentation, acne scars and skin resurfacing of fine lines and wrinkles. The peel is usually followed by a relaxing mask to soothe the skin.

Results are not immediate and several separate sessions are required to obtain an optimal result.

The procedure requires no down time. There is little discomfort during the procedure, and no anesthesia is needed. Patients can immediately return to their normal activities. All skin colors can be treated. It is a wonderful way to achieve younger, vibrant-looking skin while still keeping up with your busy lifestyle.

Microdermabrasion is one of the safest rejuvenation procedures on the market today. In the hands of skilled professionals, microdermabrasion can enhance the results of other skin rejuvenating procedures and products. It is unusual to develop any complications from this treatment.

Juvederm™ is an injectable gel filler produced through HYLACROSS™ technology creating a high degree of cross-linking and promoting duration.
This technology results in a uniformly consistent, long lasting, smooth natural look that is a hallmark of Juvederm wrinkle correction.

As with similar fillers, the hylauronic acid (HA) in Juvederm products binds with water to create volume that temporarily corrects facial rhytides.

The appearance of wrinkles and facial folds can be smoothed by adding structure and volume underneath the skin and actually help reverse the signs of aging. This is a temporary effect and can be combined with many other treatments for Facial Rejuvenation.

Lipoatrophy is the loss of fat beneath the skin, which occurs with aging or with significant weight loss. It will result in sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes. Sculptra is a safe, synthetic, and biocompatible material that is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss. It provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas. No skin testing is required.

Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic material. Sculptra is not made from human or animal sources and does not require a skin test. Sculptra is a biocompatible (does not harm the body) and biodegradable (able to be broken down by the body) material that has been widely used for many years in surgical products such as absorbable sutures.

The effects of Sculptra are long lasting. In several clinical studies, the effects lasted for two to three years after the first series of injections. The results from Sculptra are not immediate. Sculptra provides a gradual increase in the thickness of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.

Touch-up treatments will be needed to maintain the desired effect after the first two years. Three or four injections over two or three months are usually necessary when the treatment is started.

Our Cosmetic Medicine Center offers Palomar Starlux PPL, the most versatile, effective and comfortable aesthetic treatments available today. This state of the art technology is ideal for permanent hair reduction, photo facials, treatment for acne and rosacea, removal of brown spots and vascular lesions, treatment for cellulite and skin tightening.

Permanent Hair Reduction
The Palomar hair removal hand pieces emit pulses of light into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and converted into heat. The heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair. How is Pulsed Light different from Laser? Pulsed Light Systems and lasers are similar, but Palomar Pulsed Light Systems use a much larger treatment window which spreads light over a wider area of skin. This allows faster coverage and quicker treatments. Popular treatment areas include the face,(except around the eyes),upper lip, neck, under arms, bikini line, legs, chest, and back. Typically, several treatments will be necessary for permanent hair reduction.

Pulsed Light Photofacials
The Palomar RejuveLux hand pieces emit pulses into the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the sunspots and the blood in the visible vessels, and is converted to heat. The heat dissolves the cells that creates the pigment and shrinks the vessels. All areas may be treated, except directly around the eyes. The process is able to clear sunspots, rosacea, telangiectasias, and other conditions in order to improve skin tone.

Spider Vein Removal
The Palomar Lux1064 offers a more comfortable and effective leg vein treatment. It's non invasive laser pulses cause unsightly vessels to fade from view in a few treatments or less. The treatment is ideal for targeting leg veins and may be used on the face and other body areas. The light pulses heat the blood within the leg vein. The heat of the blood affects the vessel lining, which causes the vessel to constrict and eventually fade from view.

Skin Tightening
The Palomar LuxIR Fractional hand piece delivers infrared light deep into the dermis. This light causes soft tissue coagulation which leads to remodeling of the collagen within the dermis. The remodeled collagen fills in wrinkles and sagging for overall skin tightening.

The Palomar LuxIR Fractional method delivers an array of small beams. Each beam creates a heated column in the dermis, which is surrounded by an unaffected area. The unaffected tissue stimulates quicker collagen remodeling and faster healing. Generally, you can receive a treatment and go back to work or other activities without any recovery time. A series of treatments at 4-6 week intervals may be required to achieve the desired result of smoother, tighter skin in the face, arms, hands, abdomen and other areas.

Our Laser Treatments require a consultation with our PA-C, Kay Case. This complimentary consultation includes a patch test and a full treatment plan will be discussed as well as special pricing packages made available.

Botox® Cosmetic, A Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation!

The stress we face in daily life makes us move our facial muscles repetitively as a subconscious response to our emotions. Facial muscles begin to create permanent creases and wrinkles around, above and between our eyes, making us look older than we are. If you’ve tried every over-the-counter cream and lotion on the market and nothing has worked to erase those bothersome creases and wrinkles on your face, then Botox® Cosmetic may be right for you. Botox® Cosmetic has worked for millions of men and women.

Botox® Cosmetic can visibly smoothen and soften moderate to severe frown lines between your brows, as well as, transverse forehead lines and smile lines (crow’s feet) around your eyes.

Botox® Cosmetic can also be used to improve smoker’s lines around the lips and to soften up muscle bands in the neck. Patients report noticeable improvement within days with results lasting from three to six months.

Botox® Cosmetic is a procedure that has been safely used to treat a variety of conditions for more than ten years. Botox® Cosmetic is approved by the FDA.
